“But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself – to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life.”

Laurie and I met when we were young moms trying to manage our mental health issues, be "good wives," and take care of our children.
Over the decades, as we experienced healing and grew internally, so did our capacity to expand our knowledge and explore our potential. Laurie's growth led her to become a certified clinical counselor, where she shares her learned and lived experiences with others. Laurie's love for her clients motivates her to stay on the cutting edge of self-care and the professional care of others.
Laurie's commitment to having fun in painful growth and her deep dedication to addressing the root causes of things are why she is such a valuable asset to Vashti's House mission.
